Job Summary:
This job contributes to Rancatore's Ice Cream success by executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job hires all team members and delegates tasks so that team members can create and maintain the unique Rancatore's ice cream experience for our customers and themselves. The store manager is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance to Rancatore's policies and procedures.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities:
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Rancatore's Ice Cream & Yogurt.
- Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service to to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude by connecting with each guest and exceeding all expectations.
-Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for any signs of problems. Communicates information to all team members so they can respond as needed to create a warm and welcoming environment during each shift.
- Follows Rancatore's Ice Cream operational policies and policies, including those for cash and food handling, safety and security to ensure the safety of all team members and guests.
-Responsible for the hiring, training and lifecycle of all team members.
- Responsible for the scheduling of all staff to ensure that there is proper coverage.
- Responsible for ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed upon hiring for all new team members.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that all team members can locate products and resources to contribute to a warm and welcoming environment.
- Ensures that all supplies are available for all shifts by ordering and communicating supply needs to the appropriate person.
- Provides quality food and beverage product consistently for all guests.
- Follows and ensures that health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments.

Compensation: $27.00 per hour
Our Story
Rancatore's Ice Cream was founded in 1985 by Joe Rancatore. Joe learned customer service in the '60s and '70s by watching his dad assist clients at Macy’s in NYC and helping Harvey Kopman serve hungry customers at the Posh Nosh Deli in Clayton, MO. In 1981 at the age of 27 Joe moved to Cambridge to help his brother manage Toscanini’s Ice Cream, leaving four years later to open his own ice cream shop in Belmont. Through word of mouth, a consistent product, and many catered community events, Ranc's slowly gained the affection of locals and out-of-town visitors alike.
Rancatore’s Ice Cream continues to grow and change, but we maintain the same principles that we began with at our original Belmont St location: Attentive customer service, great tasting ice cream, hot fudge made from scratch, and a deep sense of gratitude for our employees and the communities that support us.
